If you watch negative videos online or read negative articles you will surround yourself with negativity. Now imagine what would change if you focused on positive things, watched positive videos online, and read positive books? You would be surrounded by positivity.

Create a Positive Posse! Follow people that will keep you in a positive and gracious state of mind. Some of my favorites are below.

 

Mimi Ikon - Great for constant positivity, serious goals, and keeping the perspective focused on the individual and civilization as a whole.

Alex Ikon - Actually an episode of his vlog inspired me to take the leap into my blog even though I did not feel ready. 

Gabrielle Bernstein - All around lovely lady and she does it all. I recommend her books, her YouTube channel and following her on Instagram. 

Marie Forleo - Incredibly inspirational and mostly focused on business but as usually most lessons learned can reach over into other aspects of your life. 

Oprah - I am sure you've heard of this lady ;) My personal favorite thing to do is to watch Super Soul Sunday on Sundays. You can watch it for free, in real-time on her web-site. The best part of that is you don't get the normal commercials, but you get beautiful inspirational quotes for commercials instead! This is my church. 

Tone It Up’s Karena and Katrina - I have been following Karena and Katrina's lifestyle plan for the last couple years. They cover working out, eating healthy and treating your body with respect. They created an amazing community of all different kinds of women who support each other as we embark on a healthy lifestyle together. 

I listen to A LOT of podcasts and just like everything else in my life, I like to keep them positive. Just by listening to my regular podcasts last week I ended the week with these great nuggets of wisdom.

10% Happier Podcast (#1 Dalai Lama – March 11, 2016):

Dan Harris interviewed His Holiness the Dalai Lama and it was really good. Harris took the opportunity for his last question to be a personal question. He told the Dalai Lama how he used to meditate 30 minutes a day and then one day, reason unbeknownst to him he started meditating 2 hours a day. He asked what a person's goal should be. The Dalai Lama’s answer was on point.

A person’s single goal in life should be to lead a happy life as an individual. Once they achieve this they can focus on having a happy family and then a happy community and finally a happy civilization.

This was really powerful to me. Don’t let all of the little stuff in your life get in the way. Your number one goal should be for you to be happy.

Don’t give up on what you are working towards, keep trudging along because everything that happens in your life is preparing you for what’s yet to come.
