How have you been doing? Have you been able to stick to practicing gratitude daily? I know it's hard sometimes. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the whirlwind that is modern society, but you are the only one who can slow you down. You are the only one who is going to insist on making time for yourself and practicing gratitude takes a minimum of 20 seconds a day! I know you can squeeze that into your schedule.

Try this tip:

Set yourself a reminder either on your phone or on your computer. More importantly, do not, I repeat, do not dismiss it until you have practiced gratitude.

1. On Instagram follow me @KatePSierra, check in daily for new daily challenges. Either comment with what you are grateful for or post a picture for what you are grateful for and tag @KatePSierra and #KSGratitude

2. On the blog. Comment on each weeks blog with what you are grateful for.

3. You can also participate privately by either merely thinking about or meditating on what you are grateful for OR write down what you are grateful for in a gratitude journal, in your daily planner, or on a napkin.

The most important thing is that you are actively practicing gratitude everyday although writing down your gratitude helps in keeping yourself accountable and helps you notice trends in what you are grateful for.

--Think phones, TV’s, cars, music players, electric guita

--Is it a beautiful Bonsai tree that gives you joy, a piece of art you found that lit your heart, is it something you created or maybe something you found on a journey?

--Maybe it’s a book that you just can’t stop recommending, or the book that is inspiring you to find more you time, or one that completely changed your way of thinking, or maybe the one that taught you a useful skill or heck a useless skill

--Is it your covered patio where you can sit and listen to the birds chirp, or your bed where you can sink in and rest, or maybe your bathroom where you wash off today to get ready for tomorro

--Think a favorite album, Pandora station, musical instrument, movie, knitting needles, singing bowl

--Breakfast, lunch or dinner, healthy or unhealth. The choice is yours!

--Think your own two feet, your car (did it turn on this morning #winning), your bike, skateboard, rollerblades, or a neighbor?
